Look for the good. Write LinkedIn recommendations.

When I was 10 years old; I would catch pigeons.

Release pigeons and win with LinkedIn recommendations

My Pappa asked me to release the pigeons.

Release??

I was heartbroken when the pigeons flew away.  Pappa said, “if it’s meant to be; it’s meant to be!”

Why am I talking about pigeons today?  Well, I have an ask. My ask is to make the remainder of 2017 amazing for the #LinkedIn community.

Your peers, your subordinates, your leadership.  I am asking you to positively lift each other up. How? By writing recommendations.  Stop looking for faults. When you continuously look for faults; YOU will find faults. Stop the PIP and the 360-degree reviews.

How do you write a solid gold recommendation?

Start by sharing #rockstar trait (skills, what they do best, backed by accomplishments); your working relationship; add some personality and end with the solid gold recommendation.

Watch the vibrations change. Look for the good in people.

A thank you to my influencers for their positivity – Bruce Kasanoff, Oleg Vishnepolsky and the amazing Brigette Hyacinth for sharing Richard Branson quote.

In his quote Branson says,

“Train people well enough so they can leave, TREAT THEM WELL enough so they don’t want to”.

So write the recommendations and watch magic happen.

If they leave, then Pappa said, “if it’s meant to be; it’s meant to be!”
